Why do I need a home inspection?
The purchase of a home is probably the largest single investment you will ever make. You should learn as much as you can about the condition of the property and the need for any major repairs before you buy, so that you can minimize unpleasant surprises and difficulties afterwards. Of course, a home inspection will also point out the positive aspects of a home, as well as the maintenance that will be necessary to keep it in good shape. After the inspection, you will have a much clearer understanding of the property you are about to purchase, and will be able to make a confident buying decision.

If you have owned your home for a long time, a home inspection can identify problems in the making and recommend preventive measures which might avoid costly future repairs. In addition, home sellers may opt for having an inspection prior to placing the home on the market to gain a better understanding of conditions which the buyer’s inspector may point out. This provides an opportunity to make repairs that will put the house in better selling condition.

At A-Action Home Inspection Group we offer progressive inspections on new construction. In other words, we will inspect the home as it progresses from one stage to another. We start by doing a "Foundation Inspection". A quality home starts with a good foundation. Then, before the dry wall goes up, we conduct a "Framing Inspection". In this inspection we are looking to see that all load bearing and framing components were properly installed. Also, we're examining the plumbing, electrical and HVAC rough-ins to insure that they meet current building standards. Then when the house is complete, we conduct a final inspection on the home. In the "Final Inspection" we evaluate the entire home not only for building code compliance, but also for function and safety of the installed systems and components.

All of our Inspectors in our New Construction Division are ICC Certified. If the Inspector is going to evaluate building code violations they need to be building code certified (ICC certified). Also, when building code violations are found, our Inspectors will include the building code number being violated. This minimizes any confusion your builder might have with the inspection report.
 
Warranty Inspections On New Homes
When you purchased your new home, your builder provided you with a one-year warranty guaranteeing most aspects of your new home for one full year. Wouldn't it be wise to have an independent evaluation of the home conducted prior to the expiration of your builder's warranty?

One of A-Action Home Inspection Group’s ICC Certified inspectors will come out and spend between two to four hours evaluating your home from the foundation to the chimney. We will be looking for building code violations and check to see if the installed systems and components of the home function properly. We will also be looking for safety issues with the home.

Our on-site generated report will be clear and concise, detailing all issues discovered. If building code violations are found, our inspectors will include the specific code reference that was violated. This will minimize any confusion your builder might have with the inspection.
